The Young Marines performed 2 color guards. On Friday night before the opening softball game between the Cops and Robbers (Medford Police versus addicts in recovery). On Saturday afternoon the softball tournament grand finale started and we did our second color guard. Due to change in time and because of a local cross country meet we were down to 2 people for our color guard. They performed with all respect and reverence for both events.
As the softball tournament proceeded, the carnival ran in the parking lot and many other organizations had booths inside the ball field bleachers. The Young Marines were able to present our message of Drug Demand Reduction (DDR) and describe our efforts to help youth live a health drug-free lifestyle.
It was another long day. Well worth the effort.
